| Bill was seriously injured at the Ironwood, MI race while competing for the Jim Adema Memorial Cup on January 5, 2008. Being pulled from the track after eight minutes of being unconcious on the ice he was taken by ambulance to the area hospital. All body x-rays were fine, showing nothing was broken. Although Bill felt pretty broken with severe bruising down his left side. Bill needed 30 stitches in his left knee to close some extremely deep wounds sustained when the studs from his own track punctured his shin guards going into his knee. WE THANK GOD his injuries weren't more serious. SAFETY EQUIPMENT IS #1 PRIORITY!!! On January 16th his stitches came out but left him to miss driving Vintage Weekend of Eagle River 2008 & Friday night Thunder Championship weekend. He plans on driving at Mole Lake Event January 26-27th if his body is able. A BIG THANK YOU to STEVE HENKE for driving Bill's Rupp 3rd Dimension at Eagle River. Steve qualified #3 on Saturday and went on to take 5th place for the Vintage World Championship 2008 Great Job Steve! |
